Chief Buglers of the Regiment 1836 – 1930

Following is a partial, unofficial list of Chief Buglers of the 2d Dragoons from 1836 to 1930, taken from One Hundred Years with the Second Cavalry, by Maj. Joseph I. Lambert, 2d Cavalry, 1939, with a few additions and enlistment records from my own research on Ancestry.com. There are numerous confusing overlaps in dates, perhaps two or more Chief Buglers at the same time or just bad record keeping. I am only surmising and have no facts to confirm or deny this. These names are somewhat arranged in chronological order from earliest to latest but it is far from exact and SHOULD NOT be taken as an official list of succession to the title of Chief Bugler of the Regiment.
